Leadership in Biliteracy Symposium

The Leadership in Biliteracy Symposium has been postponed until Oct. 2020. 

The Leadership in Biliteracy Symposium is an awards celebration held every year to acknowledge the individuals who have made significant contributions in promoting biliteracy for our students. This elegant event honors district and community leaders, promotes biliteracy as an educational asset, and celebrates the achievements of the community.

Time: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Cost: $60 per person. Includes dinner

Honoree Submission

District and charter school leaders wanting to recognize a counselor, parent, teacher, board member, or community member who champions biliteracy can access the honoree form here.

Only two honorees per district or charter school. 

Bea Gonzales Biliteracy Scholarship

For more than 10 years, the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) and volunteers have been able to present Bea Gonzales Biliteracy Scholarships to select students deemed meritorious candidates by their districts, as well as the Mission to Succeed scholarships sponsored by Mission Federal Credit Union.
