Announcing Two New ELA/Literacy Networks!

Core Purpose

The core purpose of both of our networks is to leverage the expertise of each and every person to promote equity and access to high-quality ELA and literacy instruction so that each and every student:

  • Becomes broadly literate

  • Is prepared for college, career, and civic life in the 21st century

  • Grows their capacities as literate individuals

The ELA/Literacy Leaders Network

The ELA Literacy Leaders Network supports coaches, TOSAs and district leaders in a range of responsibilities that may include: developing leadership voice, designing professional learning, providing instructional coaching, curating and developing resources, and integrating literacy instruction through the content areas. Network members benefit from: 

  • One-to-one technical assistance, 

  • Monthly Zoom network meetings, 

  • Priority registration for select SDCOE events, and 

  • Access to asynchronous web-enabled professional support.

Literacy Champions Teacher’s Network

The SDCOE Literacy Champions Teacher’s Network supports teachers, lead teachers and department chairs who are involved in designing and facilitating high quality instruction in the classroom that may include: formative assessment practices, responsive teaching, developing student agency and voice, curating and developing classroom resources, connecting members to experts in the field, and integrating literacy instruction throughout the content areas. Network members benefit from: 

  • Opportunities to plan and partner with fellow members and SDCOE coordinators, 

  • Priority registration for select SDCOE events, and 

  • Access to asynchronous web-enabled professional support.
