The event is being organized by the National College Resources Foundation in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education to bring opportunities for students in the region. The expo will be from noon to 6 p.m. at the MLK Center at Bayview Baptist Church at 6134 Pastor Timothy J. Winters St. in San Diego. It features on-the-spot college admissions and scholarships as well as informational seminars for students and parents. Students are welcome to visit with their schools or with their parents during this time. Representatives from historically black colleges and universities and other two- and four-year postsecondary options are expected to be at the expo to consult with students about their higher-education options. There will also be internship, career, and vocational education opportunities.
