San Diego Unified School District announced this morning that its schools will close effective Monday, March 16, and we anticipate similar announcements from additional San Diego County school districts later today.

San Diego Unified announced its decision jointly with Los Angeles Unified saying, "California has now entered a critical new phase in the fight to stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic."
San Diego Unified and Los Angeles Unified school districts are the two largest in the state.
