 County Board of Education Considering New Meeting Time

​In an effort to make their meetings more accessible to more people, the County Board of Education is considering new meeting times for their regular monthly meetings.

“The Board has heard suggestions in recent weeks to change the meeting time, so the meetings would start earlier in the afternoon,” said Sharon Jones, President of the County Board of Education, in a televised public service announcement about the proposed time-change. “As we consider such a change, we’d like to know what you think about it.”

A survey asking local residents for their preferred meeting time is now underway. The survey asks participants if they would prefer the meetings to start at 1 p.m., 2 p .m., 3 p.m., or keep the same 6 p.m. starting time. To take part in the survey, go to
