Students Perform Songs of the Holiday Season

Students from throughout the county will get a chance to sing holiday songs on local television thanks to the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE), The San Diego Unified School District and KUSI News' Songs of the Holiday Season.

Over the last two decades, about 20,000 students of all ages have participated in the effort, which brings school choirs into the KUSI studios to film their rendition of holiday songs.

The two-hour show will air on KUSI Dec. 24 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 25 at 10 a.m.

Communications teams from SDCOE and San Diego Unified help promote the event and coordinate which schools will participate. Each year, students from 10 schools in the San Diego Unified School District, 10 schools from other districts across the county, and five independent and charter schools perform.
