UPDATED Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m.
Spencer Valley School District will remain closed and schools in the Julian Union and Julian Union High School Districts will have late starts Thursday, Nov. 15 because of weather-related power outages.
The other schools and districts that had closures earlier in the week plan to reopen Thursday.
Schools in the Julian Union and Julian Union High school districts are planning to start the day at 9:20 a.m. Thursday.
The safety and security of students, faculty, and staff is of the utmost importance to schools across the county. Because San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) activated a public safety power shutoff in certain parts of the county, some local schools were closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
