Educators seeking jobs in San Diego County school districts can receive credential advisement, employment information, and possibly even an offer of employment at the March 30 Teacher Job Fair.
The event is presented by the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) in partnership with Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU).
School districts and charter schools from across San Diego County are looking for qualified educators to work with students.
"This event allows participants to meet district personnel in charge of hiring and get firsthand information about the employment process, current openings, and anticipated openings," said Dr. Sheiveh Jones, human resources director at SDCOE. "Local school districts are always looking to hire the best and brightest for the upcoming school year."
The job fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 30 at Liberty Station Conference Center, 2600 Laning Road in San Diego. Registration is by educator type:
This event is particularly important considering the growing statewide shortage of teachers, including substitutes.
Last year more than 700 educators attended the event. There will be webinars available March 14 and 18 for those who register to help them prepare for the event and a potential job interview.
SDCOE and PLNU have organized this job fair to support school districts and teacher candidates for more than 20 years.
