Did you know California residents produce the most FAFSA applications in the nation? Students in California need financial support when pursuing post-secondary education. Help your students receive financial support by having them complete the San Diego Foundation's online scholarship application.
Through one online application, students can access more than 100 scholarship opportunities with awards ranging from $1,000 to more than $5,000. Some scholarships can be renewed for multiple years, often offsetting the financial burden for a student’s entire undergraduate career.
Scholarships are open to:
- Graduating high school seniors
- Current college students (undergraduate or graduate)
- Adult re-entry students
- Students with financial need (includes middle income families)
- Students attending four-year, community colleges or career/technical schools
The application can be accessed at sdfoundation.org/students. For questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 619-814-1343.
The deadline to complete the application is Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 2 p.m.
In 2019, more than 934 students received over $2.8 million in scholarships from more than 146 funds that support the Community Scholarship Program. Among the new 2019 recipients, 52% are the first in their families to attend college and 81% are considered low-income students based on Expected Family Contribution data.
Since 1997, $33 million has been awarded to thousands of students who help fuel our San Diego economy – making the San Diego Foundation's program the largest private non-university scholarship provider in San Diego County.
