The 12th annual San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering, the largest STEAM Festival in Southern California. kicks off March 7 with Expo Day at Petco Park, where 24,000 community members flood into the stadium for a free day of family-fun and learning. Attendees of all ages will interact with more than 150 exhibitors and professionals from San Diego's local science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) industries.
Whether you're extracting DNA, making slime, hanging with reptiles, coding, 3-D printing, exploring space, playing with the latest VR technology--there is something for everyone and you don't want to miss out!
The festival is a locally cherished, nationally recognized week of events that catalyzes excitement and curiosity in young minds about the possibilities of STEAM and STEAM careers. More than 75,000 San Diegans participate in the 10-day festival, engaging in free, fun and educational STEAM experiences throughout San Diego County. The festival inspires the curious young minds of today's tinkerers, explorers, star gazers, and adventurers to become tomorrow's San Diego STEAM leaders.
