The San Diego County Office of Education's Expanded Learning Department invites educators who focus on after-school programs to the annual STEMpower Conference March 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at SDCOE's Linda Vista campus.
The STEMpower Conference 2020 is designed to provide up-to-date and relevant research, tools, ideas, and strategies that best support afterschool programs. The half-day conference targets after-school educators including school and district administrators, provider agency program directors, site supervisors, and frontline youth leaders.
Topics to be featured include:
- Increase STEM learning opportunities in out-of-school-time programs
- Gain strategies to increase your confidence and competence to offer STEM learning
- Roll up your sleeves, have some fun, and experience hands-on STEM learning
- Access STEM resources
- Learn about promising practices for STEM learning
