Summer is a time for rest, reflection, and planning when you’re in education. In leadership roles, school and district administrators have the opportunity to review data, programs, and plan for the future.
That’s especially important this summer, following a year of uncertainty, stress, and unprecedented challenges for students and school staff.
The San Diego County Office of Education has partnered with longtime educators and leadership development experts Dr. Angela Bass and Wendell Bass to provide a two-day learning session in August.
The informative and practical learning opportunity will help district and school leaders create a plan to meet and address the needs of all students and the adults that support them.
“Returning to in-person instruction in the fall doesn’t mean we should go back to the way we did things in 2019,” explained Dr. Paul Gothold, San Diego County superintendent of schools. “Our educators and students learned so many new tools and skills last year, and we saw inequities, such as food insecurity and access to the internet, widen for many of our families. This is an opportunity to better serve each and every student.”
