Last updated March 7, 2016, at 4:19 p.m.

Julian Union School District, Julian Union High School District, and Spencer Valley Elementary School District implemented an early release of students Monday, March 7, as a result of inclement weather conditions.

Snowfall prompted officials in both districts to call for an early release so that students could be returned home safely.

Both Julian school districts expect classes to resume Tuesday, March 8, at the standard, 1.5-hour delayed start time. Spencer Valley classes are expected to resume at a one-hour delayed start time of 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 8.

The safety and security of students, faculty, and staff is of the utmost importance to schools across the county.
