Monarch School Adds CIF Sports to Roster of Programs

Athletic competition is an integral part of the high school experience. On Jan. 22 Monarch School was unanimously approved as a member of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) San Diego Section, Division V. Monarch will compete as a member of the Frontier Conference throughout the academic year.

“This has been a long process, but is just the beginning of building greater things at Monarch,” said Chuy Nuñez, Monarch athletic director.  “Our CIF membership will help us promote the concepts of sportsmanship, honesty and quality academics.”

Starting in the Fall of 2014, Monarch will field teams in both girls' and boys' cross country. Monarch will also compete in boys' and girls' basketball, badminton, and track and field.
