 Families Eligible for Up to $365 for Groceries per Child While Campuses are Closed

Students who were receiving free or reduced-price meals prior to the COVID-19 pandemic can get extra money for groceries to ensure they have enough to eat during the current crisis. These food benefits are called Pandemic EBT or P-EBT and are in addition to grab-and-go meals served by schools and nonprofits in our community.

Families will get up to $365 for grocereis per eligible student on a P-EBT card which can be used like a debit card at grocery stores, farmer’s markets, and online at Walmart.com or Amazon.com (home delivery charges might apply).

All students who receive CalFresh, Medi-Cal or foster service benefits should have automatically received a P-EBT card in the mail last month. If you have not received a card, please call 877-328-9677.

All other students who received free or reduced-price meals should complete a simple and quick online application by June 30.

Applications may be found at ca.p-ebt.org. You must apply by June 30 to receive your card.
