Solana Beach School District Brings Staff, Students, Community Together for Focus Group

Parents, teachers, staff at SBSD Imagining Our Vivid Vision sessionAs the school year continues into a new decade, the Solana Beach School District (SBSD) is gathering together staff, students, families, and community members to continue its focus group work in a year-long strategic planning project called “Imagining Our Vivid Vision.” More than 60 participants from across the district will meet for the third time this school year to update the district’s mission, create a vision statement, embed Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) goals, and create a student promotion profile.

The next Imagining Our Vivid Vision session will be held on Jan. 21 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Skyline School, located at 606 Lomas Santa Fe Drive in Solana Beach.

Two prior meetings were held last fall at Skyline School. Participants gathered to listen, discuss, and brainstorm for the future direction of SBSD. Past sessions included SBSD alums, who took the stage and answered questions about their own elementary experiences and offered suggestions for the district’s future work in supporting students as they progress through elementary school.
