Monica Ventura wears many hats at SDCOE. She serves as a Spanish-language translator and interpreter, organizes many of SDCOE's community partnerships, and is the public-facing voice of SDCOE, among other work. The communications support assistant on the Communications team has been with SDCOE for more than six years.
She has also been an important member of the SDCOE team's efforts to support our community during the pandemic. She collaborates with our food service team to post information from all 42 school districts and many charter schools to maintain a list of feeding programs available to hungry families, translates it into Spanish, and is instrumental in sharing that information with the community.
"Monica is a tremendous asset to the SDCOE team and to the students and families we support," Chief of Staff Music Watson said. "She truly lives her commitment to making the world a better place for all people."
Outside of SDCOE, Monica has volunteered with different organizations and efforts, including the San Diego County Citizens' Scholarship Foundation and Grossmont College Office Professional Training program.
