The San Diego County Office of Education is collaborating with the Education Innovation Alliance on an Innovative District Leadership Academy that will help support local educators with technology-related initiatives and challenges.
Participants will learn more about best practices, communication strategies, common mistakes, policies, and building an ongoing network of support with peers and experts.
Each district team or individual attendee will work with experts throughout a four-month blended learning course to build a solution to a technology challenge or drive an innovation or technology initiative in their district.
Participants will earn a micro-credential, better understand how technology affects all departments within a district, learn strategies to unite departments around the district's technology vision, and learn about technology trends and funding.
The academy includes self-paced work along with three face-to-face meetings and four online learning sessions.
The fall cohort in San Diego County starts in August with in-person meetings scheduled for Aug. 23, Oct. 18 and Dec. 13. Get more information or register at the Education Innovation Alliance website.
