Live Well San Diego, in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE), announced the launch of Live Well @ Home, a free resource to help community residents find tips and strategies to stay healthy in both mind and body while staying at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Parents have been doing a great job in regard to educating their children and entertaining them – also at home,” said County Supervisor Greg Cox. “But by now, you may be looking for some new ways to engage your children.”
Resources, activities, and tutorials are available on the Live Well @ Home website for residents of all ages and are grouped according to age and topic. From fun apps like GoNoodle to help kids get their bodies moving to free video exercise classes for seniors, the Live Well @ Home page offers resources to keep people active and help families navigate this emotional time.
“We are immensely grateful for the incredible work that teachers and administrators are doing to help our region’s students and families adjust to this new reality,” said County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Paul Gothold. “Subject-matter experts at SDCOE, in partnership with Live Well San Diego, have pulled together hundreds of resources to help us all remain mentally and emotionally healthy throughout this challenging situation and beyond.”
Both organizations, as well as other Live Well San Diego partners, are continuing to identify and post additional resources. There is also a button on the website where community members can submit resources they think may be helpful.
