Join the Miracle League and Become a Buddy!

The South County SELPA is proud to support the Miracle League of San Diego in their mission to bring the joy of baseball to children with special needs. We invite our community to step up and volunteer as buddies for these inspiring athletes.

Locations:

• North County: San Dieguito Park, 1628 Lomas Santa Fe Dr., Del Mar, CA 92014
• South Bay: Bell Middle School, 620 Briarwood Rd., San Diego, CA 92139

What’s a Buddy? A buddy is a volunteer who assists special needs players during baseball games, helping them bat, run bases, field, and, most importantly, providing encouragement and friendship.

Why Volunteer?

• Need community service hours? We offer 20 hours per season.
• 10-week season from 9/7 - 11/17, 1 hour each Saturday.
• Flexible commitment: choose full-time or “floater”/part-time roles.
• No baseball or special needs experience necessary.

How You Can Help:

• Assist players as needed to ensure they have the opportunity to play to their fullest potential.
• Encourage and support players on and off the field.
• Build a bond with your player to enhance the experience for both of you.
