What do we do?
The primary functions of the CAC are to:
- Advise the SELPA on the local plan.
- Assisting in parent awareness of importance of regular school attendance.
- Support and provide parent education
How can I become a member?
CAC Members are appointed by their local school board. Each district/LEA has their own process to bring forward candidates to their board by approval. Please contact your district/LEA's special education department if you are interested in learning more.
2024-25 Meeting Dates and Agendas
CAC Meetings are held either at the East County SELPA Office, 924 East Main St., El Cajon. or virtually. Business meetings begin at 6 p.m. In 2024-25, meetings will be held on:
- Monday, Sept. 9, 2024 at East County SELPA
- Monday, Nov. 18, 2024 virtually
- Monday, Jan. 27, 2025 virtually
- Monday, April 28, 2025 at East County SELPA
