The Child Care & Development Planning Council membership consists of volunteers from various groups working in the child care field. There are 35 voting members and up to 35 alternates. Voting members and alternates are recommended by the Planning Council and approved by the County Chief Administrative Officer and the County Superintendent of Schools. Any member of the public can attend meetings and sit on working committees.
The Council is always seeking interested individuals to become appointed members of the council to assist in assessing San Diego County child care needs and coordinating plans to address those needs. If appointed, all terms begin in the following January for a term of two years.
