Foster Youth Student Information System

The Foster Youth-Student Information System (FY-SIS) is a secured, web-based system designed specifically to store health, education and placement information for over 5000 wards and dependents of San Diego County.

Who can access FY-SIS?

San Diego County authorized users are listed below and will have secured access to the web-based system:

  • Group Homes
  • Minors Attorneys
  • Foster Family Agencies
  • Schools
  • School Districts
  • Probation
  • Juvenile Court
  • Child Welfare Services
  • Foster Family Agencies
  • Voices for Children

How will FY-SIS help our foster youth?

FY-SIS is designed to provide authorized users access to selected information such as:

  • Immunization Records
  • Medication Information
  • Unofficial Transcripts
  • Assessment Scores
  • School History

This immediate access from any Internet connected computer will allow school staff, social workers and any other supervising adults to assist and expedite school placement.
