Jenée Peevy

Jenée Peevy has been with the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) for over 18 years. She currently serves as the Coordinator for the System of Support for Student Services and Programs, leading initiatives in the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) and Social Work Services (SWS) within the Whole Child and Community Design department. In this role, she supports districts, local educational agencies (LEAs), school social workers, and both undergraduate and graduate interns.

Ms. Peevy holds a master’s degree in social work administration, specializing in Children, Youth, and Families, with a minor in sociology, and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration, with a minor in Juvenile Delinquency, both from San Diego State University. In 2015, she earned a PPS credential in school social work and child welfare and attendance specialization, and she is currently pursuing her administrative credential.

At SDCOE, Jenée provides coaching and technical assistance in areas such as MTSS, PBIS, SEL, restorative practices, differentiated assistance, mental health, and attendance. She has been a field/practicum instructor and supervisor for graduate-level social work students for 17 years, collaborating with institutions of higher education across the United States. As a facilitator and presenter, she addresses various topics related to mental health and social-emotional needs, emphasizing a whole child approach with an equity lens. She is dedicated to self-care, advocacy, and supporting students, families, and educators by providing resources and breaking down barriers to academic success.

Jenée is a proud mother of five children, ranging in age from 19 to 39, a grandmother of 15, and a great-grandmother of one. She is actively involved in her community, volunteering her time to support youth, families, and community members. In 2021, she was honored with the San Diego Hometown Hero Award for her community and volunteer work. Jenée also serves on several boards, contributing her expertise and passion to various causes. In her spare time, she enjoys sports and has been a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan for 48 years. She also provides consulting and administrative support at all levels in track and field. Recently, she discovered a new passion for home decorating, which offers therapeutic calming and enhances her now empty nest.
